They just added a few more projects at free-dc if anyone is interested....Just go to the project section to find out more about Proteins@home, Rectilinear crossing number, or Spinhenge....

actually, more correct would be, boinc added new projects... in addition to the new boinc project lists are abc@home, depspid, and possibly another one i've forgotten...

I do not search for new projects so when they get added they are new to me....

a couple of the boinc people drop by my dcstat forum on occaision when a new project comes along, requesting it to be added. on the plus side, boinc projects all use the same format, so it's easy to add those for the most part (with the exception of seti classic, which i still need to get around to working on).

I think that the Boinc platform is the way to go for the future of DC computing......

could still do with more work, i'd say...at least based on the feedback i've read. i've read a lot of people at folding forum dreading the day f@h hops on the boinc bandwagon, should that ever happen.

I think that each revision just makes it that much better...........

same can be said about any project.

exactly...what revision have they made? none...so....no revision = no improvement...in fact, no revision in this case means project falls flat on face.

The only update I've noticed since then was an update to their homepage... yes they updated it... to add advertising for a company event....apparently the newest thing happening there is still from 2004.

UD claims to have something in the works right now... if they really do ... Apparently, they're still not interested in making their projects available to anyone outside of the Windows environment. That's sure to please all of the Linux people who have been after them for years to port grid to Linux.
