Pinky - looks like the overall WCG stats are borked in everyones sigs for some reason Mine shows something like 1.6M at the moment, when it should be around 23M - and others over at WCG are reporting similar probs, including 2 who seem to be sharing exactly the same stats: Maybe WCG have changed the way they do the stats feed?

All seem to be back in line again now - was that you waving your magic wand Pinky? [JC] or is it that it corrects itself/goes haywire at certain update times?

not unless i waved a magic wand in my sleep... was it regular wcg stats, or wcg boinc? shouldn't be going haywire if it's regular wcg stats, unless like you said they changed something. i don't really follow the forums over there, so i don't know when/if they do....

found where y'all were talking about it over there... if pinning it to a single update time, i'm guessing it's the 9pm one my time - 3am your time. next update that "fixes" it would be 9am. will look tonight to see if anything looks odd...

very strange that wcg stats aren't working properly....would have figured i'd hear about boinc stats based on a change with that recently...haven't touched wcg. Mine says invalid user name. what username is that under? phicksus?

oh this is fun.. Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in... seems there is a max point to size there...get enough users, exceed the amount of time script is allowed to run on host server.

has me pondering of version 2.0 long term solution, as i plan to hide from single digit temps all weekend... definitely need to add something to track which sigs are being used, and which can be removed to keep things efficient....and fix a few hiccups along the way....

can't seem to replicate it, so i'm guessing the issue was with wcg side - i read they tweaked some of their xml stuff recently...

mmm, vaporware... i'll need to do something - right now, i think a couple of things colided at once to create this issue. wcg xml stats being messed up (and i have the file downloads to prove it ), host seems to have started limiting the amount of time scripts can run (i know they were running longer then 30 sec in the past), and possibly one other thing i can't quite pin-point yet

The XML errors could be a sign that they are trying to improve the process on their end. Plus XML is a bloated verbose and generally nasty way to exchange data.......

 - that is sales mentality, that and doing one off display hacks to prove a point.

I know - pie in the sky

one of the guys at find-a-drug had a pretty good idea, of parsing their stat-pages, and outputting in a nice csv format. right now at least all the boinc projects are standard....can use basically the same parser for all of those. non-boinc projects on the other hand....

Doesn't say invalid anymore but the numbers are wrong. I think its progress though.

workin on it... tried running the stats script manually, and it seems to be working fine...so maybe it's more an issue of timing, possibly running it during stat update times.
