Yesterday as I was tinkering with the way pics resize on the site, my FTP program was givin me issues. This was in linux, using KFTPGrabber. Later that evening, I went to go look at something for another site, via FTP.....created a new temporary folder on my machine to drop files in, but then decided not to bother on that machine since FTP program was acting up earlier that day, and went to play with it on the Windows box instead. Meanwhile....Firefox is set to automatically download files to Desktop. Today I have been noticing that when I download files, it doesn't appear on the Desktop...however when I go into file manager and navigate to the Desktop folder, the files are there. Weird. Refresh actual desktop...nothing. Create new folder on desktop by right-clicking and adding new folder....and the new folder doesn't show up on the desktop, but it does in the file manager that's navigated to the desktop folder. Open up folder that's sitting on the actual desktop, and look at the location. It says it's sitting in the temporary folder I created last night when I was tinkering with FTP. Anyone know where the setting to change the folder that the desktop points to is? And any recommendations for a better FTP app for KDE? (usually don't have an issue in gnome, but I'm running KDE on this rig)

Reboot seems to have fixed it.......I'm gonna blame it on KDE. Still taking KDE-compatible suggestions for FTP apps.

Don't think I've run across a Gnome running distro that doesn't have gftp preloaded.. So that doesn't help much either..

dumped what was in the tray yesterday and poured the last of that bag into clean box. yup, cloud of dust straight out the bag. kitty hasn't cut cheese within pinky's smelling area yet (with the exception of in the litter box), so wouldn't know.
