Any of you viedo types know anything about .vcr files, and what will play them. My neighbor has a kids concert he was given on a cd - the guy he got it from said it would play in Window Media Player 11. The audio works, but after loading every codec the video is still throwing errors, that Media 11 can play the viedo. The only other information I have from him is the guy who burned it used or as an ATI card. I seem to remember something about that but my mind is gone.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Yea take it back to the guy that made it and have him right click it and save as a .mpg file that will play on anything.

.vcr files are a proprietary format used buy ATI-Media-Libary, probably captured with ATI all in wonder card.

ATI media library will allow you to take TV-ON-DEMAND .vcr files and convert them to mpeg1,2(720x480) or avi(704x480)

ah, there's the solution, send jim over....he sets the time on clocks for a living...

nah, he comes over with a roll of electrical tape....little piece over the blinkie, and all fixed....
