Ok what did I do wrong. Huh? Set up the stat bar, then copied the address and pasted it in the sig section. Roll Eyes

It is probably missing the image tags  Smiley

Code:
[img]http://dcstat.com/sig/29.gif[/img]

With the address inside the tags it works ok:

question....does anyone know offhand what is and isn't valid as far as names at wcg or folding?  (see edit in above post)

probably won't have much issue with folding as it's using more or less the same stat script i used for about a year, and worked out most issues with there....though i'm sure i'll come across something that'll throw things off in wcg(like above). Thinking  if i recall, it let people use apostrophe's, which might get interesting... Thinking

in other news....update script done....  will see how well it handles updating by itself.  in theory, one of them(folding i think) updates at 0:03 and the other(wcg?) at 1:03.  not sure which time zones those would be, though...server appears to be running on PDT time, so that would be my guess. I don't want to make this thread "tech talk", but I was wondering, do you use imagemagick to generate these animated gifs?

gd to create the initial images....save them all in the same directory, then use imagemagick to turn all the images in that directory into an animated gif. Smiley  seemed easiest - hopefully i won't run into memory troubles i've heard about with imagemagick.
