Thing is the WCG stats show all the points you got not just the BOINC points so you are not showing all the points you have when you use the BOINC stats but as long as you crunched all the points at a particular project with BOINC it works fine.

yep... though, some, like stephenish earlier, don't realize that the regular wcg points cover both boinc and wcg, instead of boinc alone. i'll probably put a note on the page... (although, there was a note on the page saying grid didn't work, though that didn't stop some from trying, which leads me to believe notes aren't read...but not much more i can do about that)

Oh so true, it will just be nice to have more projects available thanks Pinky.

no prob there are 33 boinc projects... that'll certainly add to the list...especially since i'm pretty sure they all follow the exact same format, so will probably be able to add them all at the same time... list of supported projects becomes 11 times longer with that one...

request: if anyone running BOINC has a large number of projects associated with their username/cpid....could you pm me your cpid? it would be helpful to have when writing the portion that reads the stats, to have something more thorough to test with and such... (the cpid is the account key thing you use to identify yourself to boinc)

[tech talk] just added 70 tables to the database....2 tables per project, 33 boinc's plus overall boinc, plus dimes since i just got that stat parser done [/tech talk] grid seems to work....that is, it work when their stat page lets you retreive stats, otherwise it just sits there. it's grid, what a surprise...

Hi mousie Me confused.........just looked at the webpages of 3 boinc projects I've run and they all gave me different cross-project ID's I am impressed with you stats thingy.......Particularly because I can have my folding stats in same place as the others

hey pup should have dimes and other non-boinc stats in the same spot eventually as well... very strange on the id thing...does the boincstats.com see them all as the same user? the only project i've tried boinc with is wcg, so i don't know if other projects would give me different id's, or what... try this...i got my stats by going to this page: http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/get_user.php?cpid=00d9623db3f1f2945c969c65cb274d50in the address, the part that says "cpid=" and then some long string of letters and numbers after it? try replacing the letters and numbers with your some of your cross-project id's (one at a time), and see if it gives you your stats... i thought boinc stats were all connected to the same id, but i may be wrong.

k. would be good to figure out how boinc stats work before attempting to go too far with my current theory and hope it works... in the meantime, i'll be playing with expanding the layout section, which i want to do before adding more projects anyhow (in case i need to add more to the current setup, it'll be easier to add it to the current 5 options then it willl be for 40 options later)

Each BOINC project gives a different (account key) they use to ID you.

that might explain it... ok, good to know....ask people for id's and don't assume they're the same across different projects...

Want a list of mine to play with

would be good....also helpful in making sure that they all give me tell me more or less the same thing when i plug them in...

Also...... this in the PM.... some use <CPID> and at least two others use <Cross_Project_ID> in the cgf.xml files.....................
Yep your correct............ mine are different for each project, although there must be a common thread to the algorithms used to identify users................... fun project to figue it out
Edit.... you have mine................... let me know if you'd like the CFG files also.........

alrighty...i'll pick through it a bit more and see what i come up with... there must be some way, cause don't they eventually combine your boinc stats across different boinc projects to get your overall boinc score? if so...how do they track the overall boinc score... rick....see if this gives you any ideas: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/stats_xml.php

how about this....has anyone here tried setting up other boinc stat sigs? like this one in scribe's sig: or the free-dc one in retsof's sig: or the boincstats one, in v_r's sig: what information do they ask you to provide to set one of those up, if you have? i think all 3 of them required you to register, so i couldn't tell what they needed, though it will probably give a better idea of what information i'd need to find stats...

I have set up the Free DC one it uses your user name on most projects.

wonder where they pull stats from then... back to researching i guess...

Pup's probly correct... combination of userid and CPID..... "if we follow that to thought to the bitter end" then you should be able to garner the stats with both......... my user id is the same on every project and same team ( still wondering about that choice ), so feel free use it in testing... rwillis Edit.... interesting line of research...... somewhere Boinic has a DB link...

At free dc you go to there stats page for you in the project you want displayed and copy the end of the ULR thats there ID for you at that project (not the ID you use at the project nesessarly some are just 5 or 6 numbers ) and paste it in a box by the project name then check the tick box by that project to display it on the sig.

tld....i look up your name at boincstats.com, and they appear to have this image generated with your boinc stats: are all of those you, or are they playing a guessing game and combining anyone that uses tld as an id
