Is there a problem with the PrimeGrid & SETI@Home links i gave you Pinky.
-------------------------------

no problem with the links...more technical issues. primegrid was doing something strange when i tried to retreive stats, so i have to look at that again to see what's up with it. seti...is... user.gz 02-Sep-2006 12:39 31.3M ...huge... 31mb compressed is probably somewhere around 150mb uncompressed. i'm too scared to tell the server to process that file at the moment... i may use a different method to get stats for seti - another stat site allows people to retreive stats from their server in a much nicer format. (allows me to get a single person's stats, as opposed to storing 150mb worth of seti stats)

Just FYI RieselSieve has several different stats theres (RieselSieve Proth Sieve), (RieselSieve LLR), (RieselSieve LLR BOINC) the link you have is for RieselSieve LLR BOINC

should all 3 be seperate then? (assuming i want to avoid any possible confusion)

Yep if you are going to add all three you should probly change the name on the one thats there to RieselSieve LLR BOINC

Feel free to ignore this thread...I just needed somewhere to keep stat links organized.

question regarding stats - are d2ol and community tsc one entity? see the added link above...let me know of those stats cover both projects, as it seems like they share a forum...

i'll keep looking for the second link, then. i'm looking for something a little more...plain. unfortunately, pages like the ones you linked to are a bit more difficult to process and make usable. something like this makes things much simpler. i'm sure there's a link out somewhere, just gotta search around for it. edit: i wonder if i simply search for russkris of dc-vault at all the various project forums, if i'll be able to grab all the necessary links pretty easily that way... edit 2: started looking for ubero stats....seems like one has to register in order to view stats to begin with. anyone know if they have a forum....and if it's accessible to unregistered members? if not...can someone registered run a search at their forum for "xml" or "raw stats" and see if a link to a really plain version of their stats comes up? (plain, like the link i mentioned earlier in this post, and some of the links at the bottom of the first post of this thread) have also found some old FaD stats - might put the option for those in as well, for people that want *all* their stats...would be pretty simple as those don't need to update, either.

Why don't you email Rusty... sent PM with his email address...

i might if i don't find a few of them i have missing, although based on the sound of his posts at the various projects, he probably only has the links for team stats. i need links for individual stats. but this way, i get to explore various project's websites, and find things like strange MJ-12 search results

Just FYI RieselSieve has several different stats theres (RieselSieve Proth Sieve), (RieselSieve LLR), (RieselSieve LLR BOINC) the link you have is for RieselSieve LLR BOINC
need more feedback on the strange rieselsieve thing... i assume this is prothsieve? http://www.prothsieve.com/ a completely seperate project? and...i click on stats link, and only 12 people running it? or did i coincidentally happen upon another project with the same name... maybe it'd help if you give me links pointing to 3 seperate stat pages (not free-dc or other 3rd party, something from the project website itself, in any format).

Yea prothsieve is a different project.

so really....there's 4 seperate stats, if i were to include the prothsieve one, then...

Yea there is also Prime Sierpinski Problem - PRP (which i was going to ask you to add) and Prime Sierpinski Problem - Sieve. and a few more, look at http://www.dc-vault.com/showteam.php?team=177 and you'll see theres a lot more projects I can look up links if you will to add to stats bar.

Links to the actual project, as well as details on project-related oddities such as multiple stats for a single project would be fine. The past couple days, I've been working on tweaking the layout section again. Partly so that people can apply a single layout to every project(with the option of changing colors), and partly so that I can standardize things a bit more(which will result in adding projects to be easier). Last night I also set up a seperate forum on the site, so that anyone looking for dcStat specific information in the future won't have to dig through smap. (probably not necessary, but it seemed like a good idea at the time ) Can add plenty more projects, as long as I have working links and an easy way to retrieve stats for them. I did cut the overall BOINC stats from the list, as processing overall stats won't work too well....if you recall my comment about Seti stats earlier, it's basically the same issue, except overall BOINC is probably twice the size of Seti.

Do the links like the ones i gave you for RieselSieve do you any good.
-------------------------------
The ones you gave me will be trickier to process, as they're spread across multiple pages(50 users on page one, 50 on page two, etc). I just posted a thread over at their forum, as I couldn't find anything via a forum search.

Yea i noticed that

Those pages are also kinda messy in general...for example, if I had to write something that will allow it to process it, this is what the program will see: (this is just one page, of the 5 pages of LLR stats) <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" " http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>The Riesel Sieve Project Stats</TITLE> <META HTTP-EQUIV=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache"> <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="includes/riesel.css" type="text/css"> </HEAD> <BODY bgcolor="#003366"> <center> <table width="95%" border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <tr> <td height="79"><font color="#FFFFFF"><img src="../images/riesel_logo.gif" width="175" height="55" alt="RieselSieve Logo"></font></td> <td height="79"> <TABLE width="95%" border="0" align="center" cellPadding="3" cellSpacing="5"> <tr><td> <TABLE width="100%" border="0" align="left" cellPadding="3" cellSpacing="5" id="index"> <TR valign="top"> <TD width="618" align="left" nowrap class="whiteborder"> <table width="700" border="0" align="left" cellspacing="2"> <tr align="left" valign="middle"> <td align="left" valign="middle" style="white-space:nowrap" class="topmenu"><strong>| <a href=" http://www.rieselsieve.com/about.php">Project Info</a> | <a href=" http://stats.rieselsieve.com">Statistics</a> | <a href=" http://stats.rieselsieve.com/users.php?func=login">User Login</a> | <a href=" http://www.rieselsieve.com/forum">Forum</a> | <a href=" http://www.rieselsieve.com/sieve/">Submit</a> | <a href=" http://www.rieselsieve.com/dload.php">Download</a> | <a href="mailto:b2@rieselsieve.com">Contact</a> | </strong></td> </tr> <tr align="center" valign="top"> <td align="center" valign="middle"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color="#999999" size="2"><b>irc.freenode.net #rieselsieve</b></font></td> </tr> </table></td></tr></table></td></tr></TABLE></td></tr> <tr align="left"> <td width="18%" height="373" valign="top" align="left"><table class="ssdatatext"><tr><td><b>LLR Stats</b></td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=day&style=User&back=0">Users - Today</a></td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=day&style=Team&back=0">Teams - Today</a></td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=day&style=Country&back=0">Countries - Today</a></td></tr><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=month&style=User&back=0">Users - This Month</a></td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=month&style=Team&back=0">Teams - This Month</a></td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=month&style=Country&back=0">Countries - This Month</a></td></tr><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=lifetime&style=User&back=0">Users - Lifetime</a></td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=lifetime&style=Team&back=0">Teams - Lifetime</a></td></tr><tr><td> <a href="display.php?type=LLR&period=lifetime&style=Country&back=0">Countries - Lifetime</a></td></tr><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td><a href="display.php?type=Sieve"><b>Sieve Stats Menu</b></a><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td><a href="display.php?type=pone"><b>P-1 Stats Menu</b></a><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td><a href="index.php"><b>Main Statistics Page</b></a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="kstats.php">Current k Status</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="queue.php">Current Queue Status</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="primes.php">Prime Hall of Fame</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="sieve.php?func=archive">Sieve Reservation History</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="pone.php?func=archive">P-1 Reservation History</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href=" http://rieselsieve.com/stats/irc/">#rieselsieve IRC Stats</a></td></tr><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td><p class="dropdown">Log In</p><form action="users.php?func=login" method="post"><b>User Name:</b> <input type="text" name="username" size="15" maxlength="20" value="" alt="username" /><br /><br /><b>Password: </b><input type="password" name="password" size="15" maxlength="20" alt="password" /><br /><br /><br /><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Login" /></form><!-- End of Form --></td></tr><tr><td><a href="users.php?func=register"><b>New User? yep...i have that link, and i have it added to the database already, and it's even already set up to update nightly. problem with it is, for some reason there must be something *very* slightly different between primegrid boinc stats and all the other ones (you'll see that it's in the same format as the boinc ones in the first post).....which is causing it not to update. i haven't gotten around to actually looking what the slight difference may be, though.  from the daily logs: 35 records imported to BURP - Big and Ugly Rendering Project DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT 43 records imported to Malaria Control DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT 46 records imported to Pirates@Home DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT No PrimeGrid update at September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT153 records imported to QMC@Home DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT 60 records imported to Seasonal Attribution DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT 159 records imported to SZTAKI Desktop Grid DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT 49 records imported to Tanpaku DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:33 pm PDT 59 records imported to uFluids DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:34 pm PDT 39 records imported to Chess960@Home DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:34 pm PDT 397 records imported to WCG BOINC DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:34 pm PDT 31 records imported to Rectilinear Crossing No DB. Time: September 17, 2006, 11:34 pm PDT for some reason, it thinks it has the most up to date stats already, and so it doesn't bother processing. however, the table in the database that stores primegrid stats is empty...

Pinky do you actually need all the individual stats for boinc, wouldn't it be easier (since it's a sig generetor), to use an RPC call for an individual person that wants the sig ? The RPC call to the overall stats servers like boinc.netsoft-online.com ok I just checked there and they don't seem to mention how to do it like they used to... will check for you i'll save a LOT of bandwidth.
Also you do know BOINC usernames are not unique ? You should reall yuse the UserID (or CpID) for each individual project (maybe put a search feature in to save people having to go and look it up.)

Just for you I will give you the link to how to use the aggregate (probably quickest for all boinc projects) and how to do it for individual projets. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/stats.php

FC, where where you about 3 weeks ago when I was trying to figure out how BOINC stats work... http://forum.thedczone.com/index.php/topic,851.msg65233.html#msg65233I'm pretty clueless in general when it comes to BOINC(I'm a folding person ), so not sure what's available for BOINC stats. I found and tried the netsoft-online server at first, with my CPID(which I didn't even realize I had), and was able to retrieve my old WCG stats fine. Then I asked a few people for their CPID, so I could get a feel for what ID's with multiple projects attached to them would display. I must have had about a dozen different CPID's, and none of them would work. I guess because they eventually sync up with other BOINC projects, and so might not be the same ID the person was initially assigned, or something, from what I've read...though as I had trouble with getting a handful of working CPID's to test with, I'm sure there will be more trouble actually setting it up to run that way. Eventually just asked people here what the other BOINC stats sites ask for(Bok, BOINCStats, Munday...), and most people said they just ask for username, so I went with that. I do know what you mean, though....for example, a simple search shows there are 5 people with username "vaio" running BBC Climate Change... At some point I may add a step that checks to see if more than one person has a certain username, and if they do, ask which of the people they are....I am somewhat surprised that I haven't heard anyone run into the case where it retreived someone else with the same name's stats. Part of the goal here is to make it non-techie friendly enough, and if people here had trouble finding a working CPID, it doesn't seem like the best way to go. The amount of bandwidth I have available is so high it may as well be unlimited(which makes me worry about how badly my host oversells, but in general I haven't seen a lot of downtime yet)....and I only retreive stats once a day, so I'm probably not putting too much of a strain on the BOINC servers. The main area that retreiving stats on an individual basis would help, verses the current method of retreiving and storing everyone's, would be in cutting down processing time on my end, but I think that would only prove true in the cases of larger projects. http://dcstat.com/stats.php Comparing DIMES vs LHC@Home stats....DIMES retrieves stats on an individual basis, and it still takes longer. Then again, it may take longer due to completely unrelated reasons(server may have been busier at the time causing processing to run slower, network running slower, etc), but I do think the amount of file I/O created by downloading multiple pages of individual stats plays a role in it. On the plus side, I never have to worry about stat servers being down when people try to create BOINC sigs, since it just retreives data from the local database.

DIMES is individual ? I thought they where in one large xml file ? The cpid does change if you add a new project :-( stupid I know. (well at least I think it does). But anyone who gave you there crossproject ID obviously never gave you it, they may have given you a porjcet ID. (The cross projectID can be seen at the bottom of a persons user prefrence page on every project) Bok (fred-dc) stats for BOINC does not use Username, it uses the user ID (which is different for each project) and just a number.. e.g. user> <total_credit>404.482326</total_credit> <expavg_credit>6.74960091208387</expavg_credit> <expavg_time>1156845600</expavg_time> <cpid>00d9623db3f1f2945c969c65cb274d50</cpid> <name>mousie</name> <world_rank_total_credit>582451</world_rank_total_credit> <world_rank_expavg_credit>210256</world_rank_expavg_credit> − <project> <name>World Community Grid</name> <url>http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/</url> <total_credit>404.482326</total_credit> <expavg_credit>6.74960091208387</expavg_credit> <project_rank_total_credit>13531</project_rank_total_credit> <project_rank_expavg_credit>7132</project_rank_expavg_credit> <id>84033</id> <create_time>1119241528</create_time> <country>UNITED STATES</country> <user_name>mousie</user_name> <team_id>6526</team_id> <team_name>SpaceCat Station</team_name> </project> </user>Your ID for WCG BOINC is 84033 and that is what Bok would use. BoincStats is different and actually a mixture of userID (normal navigation) and crossprojectID (overview and linking of all the project and BAM) but then it's a bit more evelved thatn Bok's mundayweb I beleive uses cpID and a search after that, but it been a while since I set mine up... and I forgtten my password to check kwsn, boincsyergy etc.. all use crossproject ID I think. What you could do if you really wanted to know is go ask on the dev lists. There is also a specific one for stats develoment http://boinc.berkeley.edu/email_lists.php , I don't think there is anything on the wiki though http://boinc-wiki.ath.cx/index.php?title=Main_PageP.S. What about Cuboids ? It's just a webpage to parse. http://www.quantumholism.com/cuboid/UserStatistic.htm

As an example you WCG BOINC http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/show_user.php?userid=84033&format=xmlSince the userID will not change (it is project specific as said before) you can pull using that even at WCG for Boinc only, the userID is availabel at the bottom of a users project account age (not sure on WCG though)

But anyone who gave you there crossproject ID obviously never gave you it, they may have given you a porjcet ID. pretty sure they were crossproject ID's, since they were all in the same 32 character format... cuboids looks interesting...didn't know that project existed. I'll add it to my list of projects to add. DIMES has individual stats available according to your post here: http://forum.thedczone.com/index.php/topic,242.0.html I've actually been somewhat preferring the idea of storing entire project stats, as I don't have to worry about a specific project's stat server status (trying to test grid and wcg stats, for example, are a PIA at certain times of the day...WCG does have feed on individual stats, though they even seem to take those down during updates, it seems). Just need to add a better way of selecting which person's stats should be displayed, either project id or cpid...

WCG takes down all stats every six hours while they update them. Individual stats update 4 times a day while team stats do only once, at 7 PM Central time. Each update takes about 45 minutes.

Thanks, John. One of these days I'll actually attempt to pay attention to how the RSS feed stat update times relate to the regular stat updates...at times, the stats feed would be down, but the regular stats up, and vice versa - which I assume means they update the feed seperately from the regular stats. (usually got some "could not find user" sort of message) Perhaps if you get a chance, you could try accessing your stats via the RSS feed during the day, after a stats update, and check to see if the feed updates as often as the regular stats? Here's the info on it: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=2023#11347I can't check myself, as my WCG stats haven't moved for months...

Lol @ the dimes one. Been a long time since I looked at DIMES things since I cannot get hold of my passwords..
BOINC uses many differnt strings of that length (projectID maybe) but certainly a logon id (or whatever it is called) which is different.
I was thinking mainly for seti@home stats as they are hugh.
Oh I believe WCG are going to implement a similar system to the way BOINC stats are 'getable' with enhancments ... in the future of course.

Ah, yep. There was also another site I noticed that let you query individual stats, though can't recall off the top of my head...as there's no way I'm planning on retreiving all of those stats... w00t for internet access...I started adding a few of my changes to the live site last night, and then internet dies as I'm about to attempt to test it...

Did a bit of testing...things seem to work as intended so far. I'm sure a bug or two will come up along the way, but for now....the add/update forms are available once again. A bit more about the recent update has also been posted on the front page: http://dcstat.com

Did you make sure you selected custom? Right now, you can select the premade bar style, which doesn't allow you to change font size, but does allow color change.....or you can select custom, which allows you to change anything.

riesel sieve question...what are typical labels for the various stats? such as for tld....i see: TLD,23,1,140,268887 i think it's username, team number, ?, "total", "score" not sure what the question mark for the third item is. free-dc appears to label "total" as "tests". what would be the appropriate label for the statsigs...

Well TLD is my username, 140 is my total tests, 268887 is my points, not sure what the team number is never saw it. dont know what that other number is ether. The total tests and points are what it showes when you go to the stats so they should show on the stats bar. Thanks PiNky

i took a guess at the team number one, as all the crunchers inc people had 23, and others who were the same members of various other teams all had the same corresponding team number. not sure where they picked 23 out, as it looks like crunchers inc is about 15 on the list of teams... oh well, i have the values stored - if i ever need them, they're there, but otherwise i'll probably ignore the team number and the other number.

several more projects added... I threw HashClash in yesterday night since most of the work was done - not sure why it wasn't already up there, but it's up now. Today I added D2OL, EON, MJ-12, Muon1, and the other two RieselSieves. Was going to get SOB and Cuboids in there as well, though had trouble accessing stats earlier today. So probably next weekend for those, and will look into getting Seti in then as well. Projects I still need to find raw stats links for:Community TSC Distributed.net EulerNet Red Library DLV (waiting for response in forum) Ubero

haven't looked at them thoroughly, so i'll ask - is it just grid? if so..then it likely had trouble accessing grid's stat server last night. if it can't access grid, it can't update stats - or rather, it updates them to empty spaces as shown in your sig. i'll try and run a manual update on them when i get home tonight, will see if that fixses things.

coffee...the never ending cup I can see the grid forum genius has shed light on the problem...there was a minor "hiccup".... Tell us something we don't know... *attempts to transition back to topic* At some point I'll likely add something to my code to verify that the stats were actually updated, instead of updating them with blanks when the server breaks. I'll have to remember to do the same for the other projects that currently don't check before updating. (trusted the project stat servers a little too much on some of them, including the least trustworthy of them all, and I don't just mean that as a personal opinion - Grid indeed gives the most trouble of all the projects if I ignore my personal bias against it)

wcg - possible, though a step up from grid grid - the ugly stepsister fah - now that i think about it, i have read threads in the past saying the raw stat file was empty, although overall they're in a much better state then the previous two seti - a whole other subject
