thanks for the thought, goobee. Smiley    it would just look rather suspicious if all the sudden it were to get massive amounts of clicking...

Bad boi

It's very simple. Advertisers pay Pink to get customers and not because they like her or want to support her site.

Ok, I can understand that Tebbie - but whats the point of having clickable ads if your not supposed to click on them, haven't you got to go to their sites to become a customer Huh?

In the end, I ended up taking the ads down anyhow...at the rate that it was earning, it would be a couple years before seeing a cent of it. lol  Figured the donation link would work better...and it already has - thanks Ady. Cheesy

(btw - for those of you that have already donated to DC Zone, don't worry about donating to dcStat as well, and vice versa)

Although Google admits that there formula for payment to site owners is "undisclosed", they explicitly tell you not to click on your own ads nor to encourage anyone else to do so.  The probably have some algorithm that figures the "clicks per page view" and if is to high they would either reduce the "pay per click" or consider banning you.

but whats the point of having clickable ads if your not supposed to click on them

If you just click on them to make money for the site owner, you are less likely to stay at the destination site.  That is not what the advertiser is paying for.  I don't mean to sound like a stick in the mud, I can just understand the advertiser's point of view.
