Translate that for tech dummies, please. Will that run on slow machines or should I stick w/ genomes?

We've got a WCG team too, GM. You don't have to leave Serious Crunchers to crunch this.

Definitely nice to have another low spec requirement project to choose from. Translation : you can run it, GP Loving the variety at WCG.

Quick note from member news: "Phase 1 will run for approximately 2 months. Then the researchers will examine the results in preparation for running Phase 2, which will run for a significantly longer period of time. Because Phase 1 runs for such a short time, we did not expend the resources required to run the project on both the UD and BOINC platforms. Thus, we are running Phase 1 using only the UD agent and will run Phase 2 on UD and BOINC."
So, this runs on UD client only, unfortunately.

As I said at wcg forums, sorry for your loss, GM. I'm glad there's now a project for this.

57% thru a Dystrophy on the grid side of it Notice it's working a LITTLE harder than it did for genome, but still crunchable.

Crunching MD on my rigs now since BOINC went down. Could be awhile. BOINC's webhost is in Colorado. Storm must have knocked them out.

Glad I kept folding installed on my machine. Old reliable is always ready when problems occur at other projects.

Problem is fixed with BOINC, but they had to take down MD temporarily because of a bug that caused some units to run past 100%. Repaired version promised soon.

Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Phase 1 has completed We would like to thank all of the members who have generously contributed towards the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Phase 1. This project has completed and there will not be any new work sent out. If you have a Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy work unit you can let it finish and you will still receive the credit that you deserve on it.
We will soon be sending a new email about the project's completion and will provide more information about future work on World Community Grid.
Some of you who have set your preferences on the My Projects page to only contribute to Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy will find that your agent may go into a paused state. If this is the case, please try one of our other projects to contribute towards. At some point we may reset the preferences for users contributing only to Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy project to the default of contributing to all projects, so that their agents do not become totally idle.
We wil be hearing exciting information about the results and the next steps from the researchers. Thank you again for you spare computer cycles which have made this project possible!
