It probably asks if you're sure you wanted to do that.  Whistle

 Thinking Interesting observation....

How to "fudge" Windows '7' HDD performance score?  Install on a smaller partition. (Results in a higher score).  rofl

Well, I hope MS doesn't mess this lil bit up....

Still playing with Media Center. and unlike Vista's version did, The new one is listing ALL the digital channels.
Did ya know Comcrap pipes it's music choice stations out in an acceptable (yet simulated) surround format?

MC still doesn't auto add the stations it can't associate with a local broadcast (ATSC) station to the guide, But at least they are on the "edit" list.  Theres a LOT of the basic service channels on the digital tuner Just gotta edit the guide list and tell it which station lines up on the list... (Something else I was surprised to see MS had included). You can tell MC that digital channel 94.6 is the same as the analog channel 7.  Yap yap yap  Yap yap yap  Yap yap yap

Kinda cool to see since even on cable, digital nets you better picture quality.

Well now...  I wonder if MS is gonna be nice and push out the "kill date" on the beta....

Current date is in August, BUT the RTM date isn't till October...  Doh

Be nice if they'd fix it so we could still run the beta till a couple weeks after the release date.

I'm still somewhat impressed with this. Not quite the stability and such I had expected. Especially from MS beta-ware... The instability, BSODs, hassles getting software/hardware to work I expected just aren't there.

gives the "program not responding" type messages when attempting to open from browser (but not if they're downloaded and opened directly from hard drive)....annoyingly, they pop up in the background behind the window and you don't realize it's there until you hit alt-tab and see it hiding.  select "switch to app" (or however the button is worded), and it works just fine though. Doh  quirky lol

I've seen delays when opening Explorer, but any delay in opening a PDF I usually chalk up to a delay in pulling it from the website.  Thinking  Huh?

Haven't noticed delays opening Explorer...though sometimes when I try to open a website in a second tab in the same window, it will just sit there thinking and not actually opening the page. Doh  Open the same website in FF, and works perfectly fine.

No, these weren't delays from pulling from website...could give it half an hour to pull an empty pdf and it would sit there waiting for you to hit that button on the popup in the background. Doh  Seems to be doing it less recently though, so maybe they fixed something. lol

Doh Gotta BSOD last night while playing GTA-4.  I thing my vid board overheated.  Doh  but don't quote me on that.  Darn game has a known bug that after time it'll eat up all the memory, Usually just crashes the game when that happens tho.  Riva tuner does run on '7' jacked the fan speed up to 100%. we'll see if'n that helps the card stay a bit cooler.  Thinking Still can't hear that fan over the 3 120mm case fans tho.  rofl

Here go Pinky AVG-Free edition download page
