nothing major changed...  even when i had folding, wcg, and dimes going at the same time, which altogether ate up a lot of memory, along with browsing, it didn't have much trouble.  for the past week or so, it's only been folding, yet has seen 12 EUE's in less then 5 days, 9 of which were this morning. Thinking  based on the time it started erroring (around 11:30am), it wasn't doing very much.  and it's not even running at the speed i've found it to max out at (can hit 2.55 on a good day and run prime for hours at that speed...is only at 2.4 right now, though).

at most, i was browsing a couple websites, though i don't think i was even doing that as i'm pretty sure i was working on something else at the time. Thinking  been trying to figure out what it is that may have changed, though nothing comes to mind.  gave it a little more vcore, seems to be happy so far...  temps are a little warmer then i'd expect them to be, though it's likely time to take a can of air and dust things out...

i'm not too sure of that, but we'll see how the added vcore does.  at first i thought there may have been trouble on the folding end as many of the EUE's were the same folding core.  usually ambers.  but then gromacs started failing as well.  i have a feeling it just wants a bit more voltage, as the last time i played with it(back in may i think) was when i was attempting to see how low i can set vcore and still be stable.

the way i see it...problem is either on the folding end or my end.  usually when there is trouble with folding, you see a giant thread of the same troubles in their forum, and know that the problem isn't yours.  searching a bit, i haven't found any such thread that seems to sound similar to the errors i've been getting, so i'm left concluding the trouble is likely on my end.  as folding tends to be sensitive to slight instabilities, i think there's a pretty good chance that could be it.  especially as i didn't do a lot of testing when i last tinkered with vcore.  my guess is it was just barely stable, and being used a bit more these days(since the laptop is set aside for now) is giving it a bit more push then it's used to... Smiley  will see, though.

just looked, been since april, actually.

hmm...the day it started EUE'ing was the day i started backing stuff up on my hard drive.  except that i finished that a couple days ago, which is more reason why i think it may be based on usage...except that i can't work out how all the EUE's this morning happened...9 EUEs in less then 4 minutes, based on the log.  based on my posting times here this morning, i was playing catch-up on the forum when it happened...  *shrug*

nah, i've been keeping it on a diet as of late... lol  stock is 1.5, i've tested it to run happily with about 1.56 when running at 2.4 in the past.  however since april, i tried starving it by cutting it down to 1.525, and it hadn't complained till now. lol

I had one of the Core files go flaky on me a while back.. Got EUE's like you are describing.

I shut down FAH, and deleted all the stored cores. On resumption of Folding, it went out and got new a new copy.
No more EUE.

it hasn't been consistent in which core has trouble, both gromacs and ambers have errored out.  also, the error message is not a core error message, but one  you typically see associated with system instability.  i don't think hard drive is the trouble, as there's another error message still that i've heard people with hard drive troubles usually end up receiving.  the error sounds to be more computational...

since the v increase, it managed to complete it's first amber since EUE's started...i'm not too worried about it... Tongue
