Have to agree with Rick - let our combined wit etc shine through!

It appears to be their modus operandi - anyone hanging around the forums for any length of time will recognise 'them' for what they are.

What a sad and desperate way to spend your day.

Jonathan.

I think the discussion is about MOT and their 'questionable' forum behaviour.  For instance, I was up particularly early this morning and their thread had been posted into around 05:00 by Dave Bell and BUMPed up by "BumperThumper" at around 06:00.  When I looked again at 08:00 the BUMP had been deleted and Dave Bell's post was now showing posted at 06:40.  Looks like one or more members of MOT are posting, deleting and reposting simply to get their team thread at the top of the recent threads.

A little silly IMO  Rolleyes

You go to bed and your team thread is plodding on nicely

I like to think we like to talk to each other and that's why we hardly ever disappear of the front page

You wake up in the morning and everyone's slinging mud at each other

Hello.....

We are all one big team here at the World Community Grid "Team WCG" and at the end of the day it is the contribution of everyone that will make the difference.

Teams are just a handy way of boosting awareness and motivation to add PC's and keep running PC's on the Grid full stop. I like to think that the MOT Crew have slightly more than that as a consequence of our crunching together, like making new friends from around the Globe.

We've been here before, sadly I sure we will be here again, but in the meantime could you all have a read of what it says on the Tin - this is the

WORLD COMMUNITY GRID

Now I like that idea of a World Community working together for the good of Mankind.

Please let's keep it that way

You should be a Cruncher, ah no, hold on - with a line like that you'll need to join BBT  Wink

You certainly won't be allowed to stay as MOT captain  Tongue

i'm still deciding if i want to make a post over  in that thread at wcg...but, will add a little here first.

dave, and others that may not have been around during a posting spree i and a couple others were part of the other night - one thing that isn't completely apparent were the actions by certain individuals in the  mot thread. Smiley  i simply stopped by wcg forum when this here thread appeared to see what was up, started posting in threads, and eventually some character by the name of bumperthumper came out.  within a minute of every post i made, bumperthumper came around and bumped the mot thread, then deleted his bump and rebumped, then deleted and rebumped...  funny and sad in a way.  the following night was bored and figured i'd see how long he'd keep up.  if you scroll back in this thread, you'll see an error message i received from posting too much in one night... lol  and bumperthumper stayed true to his "bump the mot thread within a minute of anyone else posting".  bumping a thread isn't wrong, but deleting and reposting the same 2 words is rather annoying, and i'm sure many will agree.  *shrug*  on top of that, at some point bumperthumper decided to make it even more obvious that he was focused on my and johnny cool's posting by adding bits to his signature....at the moment, it says something along the lines of "rodent and uncool exterminator" with a mouse being bashed.

i found dave bell's thread a tad strange, as he stopped by during the middle of the posting spree, and deleted and reposted his recent post as well...since it occurred at about the same time, and seemed to coincide with when bumper thumper disappeared and dave bell reappeared, evidence as to the identity of bumperthumper seems to point to him, which at least made me a tad surprised to see that thread... Confused

dunno, seems kinda silly overall, though.

-pinky aka mousie...

p.s. welcome to dc zone Smiley  sorry it had to be because of issues that came up....

Shock

Dave Bell's post made my blood boil.  Throw Computer

Haven't got anything against the man - he was one of the first to offer condolences when my Dad was diagnosed with Cancer - BUT he was well out of order.

Lets have a little Reality check.

Your team thread = Singular. Incorrect.
Plodding = slow moving. Incorrect.

Quote from: "David Autumns"
everyone's slinging mud at each other

Everyone = Dave Bell (instigator, MOT), YorkyBoy (Andrax), MLCBA (MOT)

Anyhow, it appears that I am 'consigned' to remain as a member of a minor player team. Excuse me, *I* get to choose my team, and if *I* an happy in a 'minor' team that is my choice.

The fact that BBT, ANdrax and Crunchers can easily compete /exceed the mindless MOT collective on most (if not all levels) has not escaped my attention.

Scribe has a point.

It would, methinks, be better for any dicussion to take place in the WCG forums.

This would have the added benefit of preventing threads from going stale. ;-)

[email protected] cheerleader and Mod!!!

All this [spit] makes me wanna (try to) form a mega team and take MOT out........but I can't be bothered.

Couldn't care less if they posted endlessly all day in their thread......I just find the post deletions/repostings rather bizarre.

If you gonna smap....then smap!!!!

BTW...........MOT.........you could never outsmap the jedi masters anyway  Tongue

By the way.......that is called humour............do with it what you will.
Another thread that I will be happy to see closed.

If folks wanna fight over nothing please do it over at WCG forum.

I see no reason to close this tread because I feel the people who reside here can control it....This is a pure DC Crunching community that has no tries to any ONE project....If you want to cause trouble go somewhere else because we do not put up with that crap here....
