Hi All Wave

Nice new paper!

I'm running a bit behind on my Grid stuff at the moment. Six of my machines that run WCG are at work and somehow the LAN room has flooded and the network has been out since the start of the year. No idea when it'll be back up, but I hope to be bringing my contribution to Crunchers Inc. back up to speed again soon. Three of the machines are also running DIMES so I'm a little behind on that one too (the other three are still running NT so won't run DIMES).

Anyway.. still chucking in 5,000 WCG points and 38,000 DIMES measurements a day so not too shabby.

[edit] ...ooo! 2nd page and 200th post!! [/edit]

Watch this one Guru, can be a bit of a resource hog.  I've found it best to leave it running on a slow old machine with nothing else running except Dimes.

We backed into 46th at DC-Vault. They removed the ZetaGrid project from the scoring so teams with ZetaGrid points moved backwards! lol

Bye, bye IBM! Microsoft is next! Twisted

I am only running it on two slower machines that only run Dimes....I remember you saying something about it in the past......I put M12 on one of my 64's and it loves it way too much..I am crawling at over 1 gig of bandwith per hour and still surfing the web....Thank You Road Runner and your 6 meg cable line...

At some point the scoring system will be revamped to better relate to the actual amount of cpu time etc put into any given project.........once that takes place the whole chart will completely change.

That may be disadvantageous to us.....but a better reflection of overall project contributions.

Of course........we are well ranked at dimes and WCG etc so they would still be our mainstay.

Anyone is most welcome to assist in keeping the folding team up there  Tongue

Ooo I hate those errors.  Glad I only saw them on the rigs at work.
Rates right up there with getting "Non system disk error", when the HDD dies completely. Shock

Yeah, their scoring is lopsided so there is lots of "low hanging fruit" for a team like ours. All you have to do is run a new project for a day and return a couple results and you'll get ~1,500 points in the Vault. Makes it easy to move up in the standings when the teams around us are only seperated by ~1,000 points.  lol

But I don't make the rules, I just play the game. Wink

Hey capt'n,  Wave

I started Crunchers Inc teams at PrimeGrid, SZTAKI, [email protected] and SIMAP.
SIMAP is a new BOINC project that Team Ninja is going to add to the DC-Vault. It just started sending WU's today.

Crunchers results for PrimeGrid and SZTAKI are now being reported in the DC-Vault. I sent a request to add [email protected] to our Vault stats but but the project isn't sending out WU's right now, so no reults to report yet.

Let me know if/when you want me to transfer the teams to you. I don't have any desire to remain the founder of them.

Had a right old weekend; HDD died in 1 machine and another is playing up - old P3 won't boot at 1GHz, having to underclock to 950MHz to get it to run  Confused   Memory timings are funny as well,  should be PC100 timings (per BIOS), which should be fine as it's PC133 but in CPU-z it's giving me readings like it's clocking well over PC133  Huh

Any old who, moving some machines around - hopefully Siscm will be back in the next few days at WCG.  Team looking good at M12 - looks like the bear is pushing over 50GB per day  Shock

Sorry to hear about your weekend Big V. but it happens to all of us sooner or later...The funny thing about Crunchers Inc. at the Dc vault is that it is made up of only a few people...We need some help in making a name for ourselves at EVERY project....
